Seattle Parks & Recreation lists 427 parks. I’m riding to each one to give myself goals when I set out on my bike. It’s a great way to see new parts of the city.
When I get to a park I take a few photos, including the sign if I can find one. I add those photos to an iCloud album and then run a python script on my laptop which extracts the location data, and tries to look for any signs in the photo.
Seattle GIS data helps to locate the park the photo was taken in, and then a Hugo static site generator runs to generate the park pages. Photos are resized and stored in git LFS, and then the static site is hosted on Cloudflare.
